Vikasana Sanghom

Vikasana Sanghom gives leadership in the community services of the Parish. As part of this service the Parish runs a Medical Clinic at Poochedivila regularly on all Sundays in the afternoon. Approximately thirty patients visit the Clinic on each Sunday and receive help in terms of diagnosis and medication. A team of Medical Professionals from the Parish give voluntary services in this program.

At the beginning of every academic year, poor children belonging to the communities of Poochedivila and Bund Colony are given study materials.

PEACE

PEACE Project is a new vision and initiative of the Parish which is surrounded by huge speciality hospitals and medical care centers. A large number of patients visit these institutions every day, who go through immense misery and pain because of their serious physical sickness and abject financial poverty. Such conditions make it impossible for them to receive even any small kind of medical assistance. Naturally they look up to the Church, which symbolises the loving and caring presence of Christ among people. This awareness made the Parish to inaugurate the PEACE Project during 2003 - 2004, which aims at assisting poor patients with medical diagnosis, treatment and medicines.

Patients who are curable through long term treatment and who are absolutely poor are assisted through this Project. Such patients, registered at the Hospital Guidance and Counselling Centre, are certified by Medical Specialists and are chosen by the Parish Committee for medical care. Poor patients who need short term treatment are also helped in terms of diagnosis and medicines.

Funds for this service are donated by the Parish members and other well wishers. Every person who is concerned is welcome to take part in this noble service, which supports those who are in pain and in need.

Choir

The Choir plays a vital role in the life of the Parish and assists regularly in all Worship Services enabling the congregation to glorify the Lord God Almighty. The Choir also sings on occasions such as marriage, Carol service and other special services.
